2 photo ID's required for hospital admittance...
my latest dilemma!
i have only 1 photo ID with my married name (drivers license), everything else is in my maiden (passport, work ID) name.
the hospital requires 2 photo id's. i am wondering if i just bring my marriage certificate all will be okay (i'll have to call and ask). any other suggestions?

I think your Driver's license and passport with your marriage certificate should be fine. I've gone on cruises with my passport and marriage certificate and have never had a problem.
If they can accept it as travel documents then the hospital should accept it too. If they turn you away then they have a major problem turning someone away that's in labor. That would be cruel of them to do.
Bring your passport with your Marriage Certificate, very important you bring both...

Does a Cosco id count? I have no passport, just my drivers lisense! I guess I better find something soon.

Yeah I never knew that either...good thing you did post...
i don't know if it's standard everywhere, but it is required for my hospital in NJ. i just found out over the weekend at my childbirth prep class...

Do you have a work ID? That should work as well instead of bringing all those important papers.

Ummmmm....you were supposed to get your passport changed in January......LAST YEAR
Anyway....what does your health insurance card say? Does that count? I would ask HR to give you a new work ID

insurance card has no photo, i thought about requesting a new work id but don't know if they would give me a hard time...

I never heard of that. When I delivered they didnt ask to see any id and I brought my wallet with me. It may depend on the hospital.
