2-toned neutral color paint suggestions?
So, I have a brand new basement that was painted by DH and FIL in colors I THOUGHT I loved, but turns out I really HATE. So, I'm thinking of priming over that gold/yellow nightmare and going with a neutral palatte. There is a chair rail, so I'd like to do a shade lighter on top. I bought Cognac couches down there and have a neutral tile. My furniture is a medium cherry red down there. Any recommendations? Pictures? Thanks!

I just write you this long response and it timed out when i hit reply, ahhh! I hate that! lol.
Anyway, I had written that we just painted our living room "lenox tan", a benjamin moore color...per recommendation from my best friend and she was inspired by the color from a friend of hers, lol.
They have a lighter tone of the color called shaker beige I believe. The two would look great together...
I don't have pics but if you goole those colors and click "images" you'll see them. Good luck!

Do you have pictures of the tile? I was going to say a beige and a chocolate brown but it really depends on the tiles.

since i'm the one who recd it to maybebaby, i'm recd it to you too! i love the look of those 2 together. yes, shaker beige is a lighter version of lenox tan.
