2 under 2 in same bedroom - pls share bedtime routine?

How do you do the night-time routine with w/ 2 under 2?

Older DS is 22 mos and younger DS is 7 weeks. The infant has been in our bedroom in a bassinet since older DS still loves his crib so much (we bought bunk beds hoping older DS would be interested and just transition to it on his own -- bad idea).

Younger DS is almost at the max for height and weight for the bassinet so we've sucked it up and we're getting a 2nd crib that we'll probably try to put in the same room as older DS.

When they're in the same room - how do I put them to bed? Right now older DS gets a bath ~730, we read stories in his room and then he goes in his crib while he's still awake but we turn the lights out for him. Younger DS just started STTN , but he gets his last feeding/nursing ~1030. Should I put them both down at the same time, and then come into the room to nurse younger DS at 1030?

Any BTDT moms who can offer advice? I feel bad they're in the same room, but the 3rd bedroom still isn't ready for younger DS...

I would love to hear others' answers bc we will be in the same situation in a few months. DS loves his crib, and never gives us any problems going to bed. Im so nervous how a crying baby is going to affect him.

I would love some answers too because I am due in July, our DC will be just over two years apart and sharing a room for at least the first year.

same here...would love answers to this also as they will be sharing a room too. I am assuming once the baby is out of our room, I will put her to bed first, incase she cries or takes longer and then put DS to bed as hes so easy, he just lies down and goes to sleep

My DS's are 22 months apart

I kept DS#2 in my room with me in a portacrib til he was about 6 months old

Now he is 9 months and DS#1 is 2 1/2 yrs

DS#1 -- bottle and bed AT 7 PM

DS#2-- bath, read, bed at 8:15 pm

The 1st few nights one woke up the other but it is great now

I dont sugguest putting them in the same room until DC#2 is sleeping thru the night or at least til 6 am. I didnt want to wake DS#1 at 10 pm and 1 am and 3am for feedings

No one was more scared of this situation then me and now it works!!

Right now DS#2 is 9 months and I do baths separately

HOWEVER--he is getting bigger and I may start to do the baths together but only if DH is there to help since I wouldnt be able to handle a non-walker in the tub the same time as my 2 yr old
