2 wireless computers on 1 modem and router?
Will it make one of them slower than the other?

are they different brands of wireless network adapters?
typically, different brands respond slightly different to certain routers. I had the same issue within my network but once i upgrade to a better product (wireless nic), speed was where it should be.....

Both computers would have to be 1. wired (not wireless) and 2. downloading content a significant deal of speed for you to see speed drop. (avg users don't download to there fullest bandwith possible)

the newer computer is a wireless G card (up to 54mps) and the older computer is a wireless B(up to 24-28) which makes sense as wireless g networks are at most 2 years old.
To improve speed, buy a wireless G card for the older system.
