2 year old pictures
Where is the best place to get professional pics taken. In reality, I only need about 5 pictures (for family members and I) and the woman I usually use runs me about $80. I am trying to save some money this time
any recommendations?

Well I know Target usually has coupons for $3.99 or $4.99 portrait sheets with no sitting fee.
Unless you are looking for a professional photographer. Then we used our wedding photographer and they charged no sitting fee but the sheets were expensive.

I've had good experiences at Target, and as previous poster said, they're VERY inexpensive.
I have used Kiddie Kandids and Picture People too, both are MUCH more expensive.

I love the JCP portrait center in Roosevelt Field. You can go online and get a coupon for 3.99 sheets and a free 8X10 with no sitting fee. Even when he was screaming his head off, she managed to get a bunch of great shots.

Re: 2 year old pictures
I just used Shooting Stars in BBB and was very happy...they charge $9.99/sheet if you send it to the lab or $13.00 if they print it right there in the studio (can't get any enhancements if you print it there)...
Enhancements can get pricey though (borders, b/w, sepia, etc.)

I only have experience with Sears. They sent me a coupon for a package for $4.99. Only drawback, we can only pick one pose for the package..It's OK though, only using it for family.
<-----------We chose the pic in my avatar.
They also do put your pics (not enhanced) online. I took the "proofs" from there and saved them on my computer.

Re: 2 year old pictures
I've done the whole circuit (Studio 1:1, JCPenney, Sears, etc) and I usually end up back at Sears. I really don't see a huge difference in quality and with coupons, etc I can walk out of there spending 30-40 bucks. I go to the one at the Carolina Mall in Concord-it's almost always dead and the staff is really nice.

Just a heads up, I don't think there is a target within 100 miles of us that has the portrait studio.

They constantly have coupons for free 8x10s, but I paid about $40 and got a collage photo 10x10, 3 pages of wallets, 1 page of 5x7, 1 page of 3.5x5, and then they gave me 4 pages of free stuff that they made themselves..
Im sure their site will give the cost of how much they charege for 8x10s.. i only used one time on an impulse, so didnt really check into prices.. but was sold after I saw what I got.

I'm pretty sure that is just for photo development not portrait studio-I think I've checked them out, worth a call though.
