2020 Reading Aspirations

What are your Reading Goals/ Aspirations for next year?

DS and I have decided to make 2020 "The Year of Classics"

He plans on re-reading Swiss Family Robinson, finishing White Fang, and so on (he's 9)

I need some ideas for my classics. I want to read about one a month (not including other books in between)
So far I have:
War and Peace
The Tempest
Dark Night of the Soul

What other "classic" do you recommend?

Some of my favorites were

Pride and Prejudice (or most other Jane Austin)
Jane Eyre
Grapes of Wrath and East of Eden
To Kill a Mockingbird

That's a great goal btw. I may try to copy that lol. I may stay with Little Women although I'm guessing I must have read it years ago. I'd also like to read or reread some children's classics that my 7yo might want to read as well.

Catch-22 (just finished this, didn’t love it but it’s a classic lol)
Memoirs of a Geisha (one of my faves)
Gone with the Wind
The Count of Monte Cristo

My 2020 reading goals is to get back into reading! I started toward the end of this year with Catch-22. I got 3 new books for Christmas & I’m already almost halfway through the first. My first 3 books for the new year are:

Gilda Radner “It’s Always Something”
Trevor Noah “Born a Crime”
High Achiever

Re: 2020 Reading Aspirations

my aspiration is to use "down time" to listen to novels.

in the past, i've used audio books as an extended podcast... and i only listen to non-fiction. i want to give novels a shot.

not sure which ones i'll listen to, but i want to give it a try.
