Our day yesterday and if you could please send good thoughts our way.-- Hopefully final update!!!!!!!
I got sick at work yesterday. I started feeling like I was going to pass out. I stuck it out put ice packs down the back of my shirt and opened the windows and made it through the day. I had an OB appointment. My Mom picks up my dd at daycare and we meet at my house. I feel her bottom and diaper is empty so we head out.
We go to the OB appointment. They do a sono first. The good news is the baby is out of the Franks breech position that it was in I felt like 40 pounds was lifted off of me when he told me that. The baby is also measuring 35-36 weeks and I am not even 32. They are predicting that this baby will be over 10 pounds. They have been saying this since 20 weeks. No biggie as long as it's healthy.
Tell my ob that I am not feeling well. He takes a look at me. I definitely have an ear infection, possibly strep and probably a sinus infection. So he gives me a prescription for antibiotics and saves me from having a long wait today at my GPs office.
We go for pizza and then come home. I change my daughter an I am looking at her vagina and I am wondering how he got a fruity snack in her diaper. I look closer as I am cleaning her, it's not a fruity snack. It's part of her vagina that is red and very swollen. It truly looks like a red fruit snack in there. I try to finish cleaning her but she is now fighting me and yelling OW.
My heart sinks and I am now freaking out. I take a couple of seconds and I take a deep breath. I call the doctor. They tell me to bring her in at 8pm. I call my husband and my mom. I am feel like crap from being sick and now I am nausea of course thinking the worst.
She of course falls asleep on the way there and wakes up to the doctor examining her down there. Doctor is concerned and says he is bring the NP in because also works at the victims reporting center that works with children that have been sexually abused
The NP comes in and starts looking at her. They do a swab and they are trying to move this red spot.
This goes on for 2 hours. Long story short they THINK that my daughter's uerthrea has prolapsed and is hanging out.
Needless to say my heart is in my stomach. IF you guys could send some thoughts that this corrects itself without the need for further medical intervention and that this is all that it is I would appreciate it.
