Re: i need advice
theres that cook book by Jerry Sienfields wife, where she hides veggies in foods like cookies and stuff, DH has a friend who did this and he tasted some of the treats and he said they were good
I just don't know if its a good idea to teach a 1 year old to eat junk food all the time just so you can get good food into them.
Maybe just keep trying a lot of new things and try them cooked, and raw.. maybe take her to the grocery store and let her pick healthy stuff that she wants to try

Re: i need advice
i totally agree. she doesnt eat junk food she eats snacks the graduate snacks which are all basically all fruit. i actually tried green beans and she seemed to like them. so i guess it is just trial and error. thanks for the advice. i will def look for that book i have heard about it before.

Will she eat Mac & Cheese? That's where I hide DD's veggies.
I X-posted this to Parenting for you, maybe you'll get some other moms of picky eaters to share some of their tricks.

Re: i need advice
Ahh.. the glories of a picky eater!!
I found that with my sons, it wasn't so much that they didn't LIKE the veggie as they didn't like the LOOKS of it or the IDEA of trying something new.
I also have a deal with the kids. They have to try 3 bitty bites of something before they can decide that they don't like it.
When they were little I sometimes played the guess what it is game. They closed their eyes at supper and I gave them a little bite of everything I made to see if they could 'figure out' what I made. It is amazing how often you discover that it isn't the FOOD they don't like - but they way it looks! So I try to make it LOOK appealling to a kid. Like I will make a face on the plate. Chicken pieces for eyes, a little tomato crafted mouth, a piece of potato for a nose and broccoli hair. Then you say "OH NO! you are eating his hair!!"
I also hide veggies in things. Thin slices of eggplant under chicken cutlet parmesan, bite sized pieces of zucchini in a pasta toss, etc.
Making dips works too - hummus, guacamole and spinach dip are the things that my kids dip their pretzels in.
If all else fails.. I tell them that whatever food I want them to eat will probably make them fart a lot. It works like a charm.
