2nd birthday party
what are you doing for your childs second birthday. Bryan's is in June and Im a little behind in the planning. Im not sure whether to have it at our home( less expensive more hassle) or a place ( more expesive less planning)

Re: 2nd birthday party
We had a very small party for her at our house. Immediate family, not even 20 people.

Re: 2nd birthday party
My child is not 2 yet but I think I would prefer to do it at a gym or something, I personally don't like a bunch of children running around my house and it's too cold in the beginning of March to do it outside.

Re: 2nd birthday party
Since we have a house now, we'll probably do it in our backyard. Jared's birthday is in June. I don't want a huge party though.

Re: 2nd birthday party
we had it at our house to save $$$ but after doing this i realized that it would probably be cheaper to have it at a place. Between the food being catered, i had 2 waitresses serving&cleaning, and just the hassle of having it in my home, it wouldve been probably about the same to have it out-minus cleaning for days!

Re: 2nd birthday party
My little guy's second birthday is in June. I just booked pony rides and a petting zoo through Lollipop Ponies .
My little guy LOVES animals so I thought this would be cute.
They bring a medium sized pony wearing a bandanna and at least 15 petting zoo animals and a llama!! The kids will have a ball.
I also might have one of those big inflatable jumpy things. Plus I have a swingset, sanbox, kiddie pools, etc. Plus tons of food of course.

I am not sure what we are going to do. I keep going back and forth between a backyard party or having it at a place.

I have this one, although it's not super big, you're welcome to borrow it!

Re: 2nd birthday party
Iam having JAcob's 2nd Birthday (yes it is september but on Labor day weekend so you have to book now) at either--- Mid Island gymnastics, Matss, or My gym in Huntington ( this is where I go)..
By the My gym in Plainview gives great parties-- I have been to couple there already and have 2 more now to go..
Most of my friends are doing it at a gym, or kid type of place... and only for the kids and immediate family( grandparents and siblings).

This is great to hear, Hillary! We've been to a party at the My Gym in Huntington (which was great, BTW! ), so I'm glad to hear that Plainview does a good job, too!

I can't believe your planning his party already? I haven't even a clue what I am doing with my 2 kiddies and they are in a few weeks!

Re: 2nd birthday party
I am a planner--always will be...
second of all-- Jacob's birthday is on Sept 1 not many places will be open that weekend but some are... I want to make sure I get the time and date that I want... If it is not opened then I will have it the next weekend which will be the 8th... I have heard this is the weekend that many kids who come back from camp and are born over the summer have their parties...
I just want to make sure to get the time that I want...
