2nd sono today Edited with update
I think I'm about 10 weeks (we'll find out today for sure). I hope everything looks good and we get a due date. I'll post later and let you know how it went.
So I'm 9 wees 4 days and that gives me a due date of November 14th. He made a comment about not seeing the placenta. I asked if that was okay and he said it's usually seen around the 12th week. So now I'm worried (girls, get used to it, I'm a freaking worry wart!) cause he wants to see me back in 2 weeks. But it was great to see the little one. He/she was moving all around. It was awesome! Also...with my severe anxiety/worrying, I'm considering NOT having the ultrascreen. Has anybody else opted to not have it. I just feel like I'll be worried the whole time and I know you can receive false positive results. TIA

I know several ladies on here opted out of the Ultrascreen. It's definitely a personal choice. We got it, but it's a personal decision. Either way, you should get to see your little one again in 2 weeks, which is exciting! And believe me, I doubt you'd be able to find anyone on this board who hasn't worried at least during the early stages of pregnancy, and then worried about the baby, labor, etc. after the initial worry. So we can all relate!

Re: 2nd sono today Edited with update
I think we all have been a bit paranoid in our 1st trimester (I was!!!).
In regards to the Ultrascreen, it's a personal choice. I had an amnio because of my age. DH and I wanted to know what we could face. It's not for everybody but I know I would have been a total wreck wondering if everything was fine during the entire pregnancy. Of course, it does not guarantee anything but it was some peace of mind for me.
You may want to go to a genetic counseling and discuss your options so you know what tests are out there and if there are for you and your DH.
GL!

Congrats on getting a due date. We did not opt for the ultrascreen, for what sounds like the same reasons that you are considering not having it. You can FM me if you want the details
