2nd trimester experiences
So I am trudging through the duldrums of the first trimester and not having an easy time. I'm tired, moody/easily overwhelmed, nauseous, an insomniac and generally feeling like poo most days (and nights). I kind of feel like a useless wife and mommy. I don't remember feeling this way with my first and it may be just that I have more to deal with now that I have a toddler at home + my job. I guess my question is 1. when did it get better and 2. did it happen overnight or was it gradual. I'm looking for my glimmer of hope here
Thanks!

When I turned the corner from the 1st to 2nd trimester, I honestly felt like "overnight" yes - I felt better!!!!!!

2nd trimester experiences
This is my first, so I don't know what its like being a mommy and going through this. But I have a very labor intense job so 1st Trimester hit me hard. I found the transition into second to be gradual. (from 14-16 weeks) But finally I seemed to have stopped throwing up completely and I have more energy.

2nd trimester experiences
I could have written your post word for word! First trimester was rough. My son was between 14-17 months. I was exhausted, nauseous, moody, could barely cook (since the smell of food cooking bothered me). My MS lasted until I was 16 weeks. After that things got better! I felt like myself again and my energy was back. Now after 33 weeks us another story lol!
ETA: I can't say it happened over night for me. It was gradual but still better than feeling like I had been hit by a bus all day every day!

2nd trimester experiences
I stayed exhausted, moody, and still had MS almost until the end of my 2nd trimester. Now that I'm in my third, my MS is much less (one - two times a week) and I'm not as moody. I'm still always tired though lol.

Re: 2nd trimester experiences
Thanks for your replies girls. I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I definitely feel pretty useless these days, then I beat myself up about it which doesn't help the situation. Trying to get dinner on the table is the worst!
