2nd trimester headaches
Anyone else experiencing bad headaches in the 2nd trimester? Seriously, its every day and tylenol does nothing. My midwife said its normal between 12-18 weeks but I've never heard of anyone complaining about this. I am starting to think there could be something else wrong with me.

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
YESSS once the 2nd tri hit, i had headaches EVERY day. It did end towards the end of the 2nd but it was horrible
2 extra strength tylenol and a coke was the only thing that worked - oh, and sleep

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
nothing wrong with you. i've had them intermittently since entering the 2nd tri. it's been awful sometimes. i was a migraine sufferer before becoming pg so some of these have been real knockouts.
hope you can find some relief!

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
Thanks. I had none with my 1st pregnancy at all. I will try drinking some caffeine with my tylenol.

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
I've had awful headaches the 2nd trimester. Sometimes they actually wake me up at night they are so bad. My doctor said tylenol only and if that doesn't work a can of coke. I have yet to find anything that helps

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
I had bad headaches in second trimester with both...I avoided taking tylenol, it never helped anyway, but what helped me was caffeine and staying hydrated...oh and sleep (naps), which was impossible this time around with DD running around!

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
I had them so bad with Genevieve, but more in the 1st trimester.
Caffeine/tylenol never helped.
Do you still have any of those gel face masks from Ray? I always kept two in the freezer. When one of those migraines hit, I would lay with it over my eyes and it would HURT because it was so cold. But usually by the time it warmed up, my headache was gone. It almost numbed my entire head, but I'll take that anyday over a migraine.

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
YES! Im in my 2nd trimester (17 weeks) and I have had headaches for the past three days...wierdly enough I wake up with them
Tylenol is the only thing that works for me right now. I refuse to spend the entire day with a headache.

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
When I was pregnant with DS, once I hit the 2nd trimester, I had headaches non-stop...All of a sudden one day I had a really bad migraine. I saw my OB & they told me things that can trigger the headaches is an increase in eating cheese, chocolate or caffeine. We figured out I was consuming a lot of cheese at that point. Once I stopped, the headaches subsided.

Re: 2nd trimester headaches
I had bad headaches too once the 2nd tri began. I mentioned it to my doc and she said as long as tylonol worked. If not, she would prescribe me something else. Also, if the headaches are really bad where you are throwing up from them, then she might take further action of make you see another doctor for that. Just mention it to her. And feel better!
