I'm glad that the recovery rate is so high for your DH's type of cancer. Is there someone (doctor, friend) who can explain your situation to the doctor with the appt that is three weeks away so maybe they can get you in earlier? Or at least keep you as the first call for a cancellation? I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers - hang in there

Thanks, everyone for all of your prayers and hugs. They help so much... more than I ever thought when I was offering hugs and prayers.

Just to answer a few questions, I live in Brooklyn (I know some of you know that) so all of you who offer assitance from the ends of the earth (aka suffolk county ) I appreciate it but obviously I'm just slightly out of the way.

All of his doctors know I'm big and pregnant -- I failed myself and cried in front of DH and the doctor when the first oncologist gave me the timeline (this was Monday). Fortunately, he responded to my tears and completely understood the need to move things along, which is why my DH has had 5 different appointments this week instead of spreading it out. The medical oncologist wasn't in the office yesterday but the radiation oncologist's office said they expect that date to change. I think we just have to give a call back today to arrange that. Of course I don't have the number with me and DH is at another appointment (I don't think I need to go with him to the dentist so he's on his own right now).

I'm glad to hear that the appointments have been moved up to accommodate you guys......and of course you are still in my prayers for continued successes with every step of your journey.
