3 FAILED IVF ATTEMPTS....
HI LADIES, I HAVE JUST HAD ANOTHER NEGATIVE RESULT FROM A FRESH IVF TRANSFER. I HAVE HAD 2 FROZEN CYCLES AND 1 FRESH. CAN ANYONE WHO HAS HAD THIS MANY FAILURES TELL ME WHAT TESTS THEY DID OR WHAT THEY FOUND OUT. I AM THINKING OF LEAVING MY RE. WHERE I GO I KNOW ALOT OF YOU DONT HAVE FAITH THERE. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Re: 3 FAILED IVF ATTEMPTS....
First
I am confused was this a fresh or frozen cycle, you said "another" fresh cycle but then said you only had 1 fresh and 2 FET?
FETs supposedly have a lower success rate so I think if this was another FET its different than if it was another Fresh. Plus that would mean they were all from the same batch.
That being said there are some girls on here that are much more scientifically up to date. But after my 3rd fresh cycle (way too late I realize now)my MD ordered the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Panel (even though I dont have this problem- but we are throwing in the kitchen sink now), thrombophilia panel, karyotype testing? for both me and DH, TSH again, and now I am having an endometrial biopsy.
I honestly dont know if there was more or what these things are for, but the girls here have also mentioned it so I know I am going in the right direction.
I have not taken as much as an active role in learning about these things as some of the other girls so I am sure you will get much more information.
Also do a search on past threads for "thrombophilia" and you should get connected to similar thread about what tests to do.
Good luck!

Re: 3 FAILED IVF ATTEMPTS....
I'm sorry about the result of this IVF.
I have only had one IVF that seemed to go perfectly except for implantation. I wanted another opinion and ended up switching REs; we're doing assisted hatching with this cycle. Haven't really done any additional tests, though.

Re: 3 FAILED IVF ATTEMPTS....
You may want to look into immunological issues. SIRM-NY does extensive testing and screening before any procedures, therefore either ruling out exceptional circumstances or treating them in order to arrive at that BFP. I know a lot of women who have been unsuccesful in the past have moved on to SIRM and been successful. They do not simply follow the standard procedure, they are much more thorough and investigative. (If you simply had PCOS almost any clinic could help you as this is very treatable.)
I have hish FSH and MTHFR as well as Factor V Leitin - which I never would have found out at the other clinics I went to as they did not test for these second two.

I agree! This is my Dr-I have had 2 m/c which my Dr considers recurrent pregnancy loss. However I was implanting but they weren't sticking. I second Lisa but she got a new job I saw her post the other day and she is not on during the day as much. She had treatment done for bacteria which can affect implantation. There are also certain physical issues that could prevent implantation. Look on the website above there is a lot of info. Also search for Dr. Beer he is considered te expert on immunological issues(he recently passed away but his research is out there)

LisaW is the real pro at all of this.
LisaW is very knowledgable and I am sure can help you out -- but many of us on this board have valuable information to share as well. We have all been through a lot and done our homework too!! So my suggestion is to listen to EVERYone and then make your own decisions on what is best for you...
