3 month old - coughing
My DS has been coughing a lot since yesterday. He has some nasal congestion that comes and goes ... should I call the pediatrician? Is there anything he can give him? Is there something I could do at home?
Thanks ladies in advance

Re: 3 month old - coughing
This happened to DD a few weeks ago - and it lingered for a couple of weeks. The ped recommended a cool mist humidifier and something to elevate the head of her mattress (crib wedge or something) so that she could breathe better. Other than that, she said it jsut had to run its course.

Re: 3 month old - coughing
Personally I would call the Ped...My son developed a pretty bad cough at about 10 weeks. We called the Dr and they had us come in and they did chest X-rays and other tests including oxygen tests. Luckily DS was fine and he just had a little virus but the Dr told us they are very careful about respiratory (sp) problems with infants. It is probably nothing but after my Dr told us that, I would recommend calling
