going away for the day
my poor DH has been SO stressed recently that i want to take him out for the day on sunday. i was thinking some place out east, maybe montauk or fire island, or possibly greenport (my mom suggested that).
any recomendations? TIA!

I love greenport. I had a college friend who grew up out there so I used to spend a lot of time out there.
If you take the north road up there are a few adorable motels right on the water on the left hand side. I've always wanted to spend an overnight in one of them for some rest and relaxation!
Enjoy whatever you do!

I'm a huge fan of the Poconos....about a two hour drive and sooooooo much to do....ex.
Mountain Biking(all Down Hill )
White water rafting
Kayak
River Tubbing
Camelbeach waterPark
Wine & Cheese train ride
Paintball
Just to name a few

OOh if you go to Greenport you can come visit me  You'll pass right through my town
Hmmm.... personally I think the traffic on the South Fork (especially on a Sunday when everyone is heading back to the city) is AWFUL!!! It's like a parking lot. It's not nearly as bad on the North fork- and there's more than 1 road you could take to head west.... JMO
