31 weeks - intense pressure and pain
I know I should probably call the doctor just in case, but I'm hesitant. For the past 2 days I've been getting very intense pressure low in my pelvis, accompanied by some cramping/contraction-like tightening in my lower back and pelvis. Baby is moving around a ton, so I think she's fine. I'm more concerned that it might be real contractions. I notice it mostly if I hold my bladder for too long (over an hour) but to be honest, it's been happening frequently enough throughout the day that I cant pinpoint if it's directly related to that or not. I also can't tell if maybe it's just gas but it really does feel like contractions (or what I remember contractions feeling like with DS). It's definitely NOT braxton hicks. I've been getting those since like 18 weeks and they're never painful.
Anyone experience this? Any idea what it is?

Sounds like contractions. Call your doctor because if you are going into labor they may be able to stop it or at least give you steroid injections to help with your dd lung development- I had contractions from 28 weeks on but I was not dilating--I was told if there was any pattern to the contractions to call my OB. I ended up going into labor at 39 +2 but I had to go to the ER for monitoring a couple of times.

Re: 31 weeks - intense pressure and pain
Thank you! I ended up calling and was sent to L&D to be monitored. I was contracting but not dilating. They believe I have a UTI which was causing the contractions. I'm still contracting slightly (and crampy) but home resting now and on antibiotics, so thankfully nothing really to worry about.
