36 1/2 weeks and 1cm dialated, heads in position, and cervix is soft
I can't believe thats what the doc told me yesterday as i'm still only 36 1/2 weeks. The doc told me the baby could be here in a week or 2 pehaps!
For BTDT moms, how soon after hearing you were 1cm dialated did you actually go into labor?

You could go tomorrow, or walk around 1cm dilated for the next 3 weeks. There is really no way of knowing how your body is going to react.
In my case, I was 1cm dilated at my 36 weeks appt and I ended up going into labor at exactly 39 weeks.

I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced at my first internal at 36 weeks.
I was 2 cm and 80% effacted at 37 weeks and stayed that way until I went into labor 1 day before my due date.

My friend has been 2cm dilated and 50%effaced for almost 2 weeks now. She is going crazy. I guess it all depends.

I was 1 cm dialated for 3 weeks. At my 38 week 6 day appointment at 12 noon... I was still only 1 cm dialated...I went into labor 12 hours later!

I had zero progress at my 36 and 37 week appts. I went for my 38 week appt today and I'm 1cm and 50% effaced. The doctor speculated it would be at least another week before DS arrives! We shall see!

I have been 2 1/2 cm dialted and 80 % effaced since 34 weeks!!!
and I am still hanging around!!! i am 38 weeks now

I have been 1 cm dilated since 35 weeks....and now at 39 weeks I am 2 cm dilated.
With DS, I was dilated for 1.5 cm for 3 weeks, and was finally induced at 41 weeks.
Anything could happen.
