36 week apt...question

Thye are not doing internals till 38 weeks but I am having a sono of my cervex....do u think i can expect any dialation yet...i was hoping to go early and have this baby by xmas...heheh

you just never know!
you can be a cm dilated and walk around for another month with out any action. you could also not be dilated at all and have the baby tonight. there's no way to tell.

At 36 weeks I was 50% effaced and 2 cm dilated.

Everybody is different. You could be dilated and still not go for 4 weeks. (One of the girls due in August dealt with that ) Or you can be me and not be dilated at all and go 2 weeks early. It's all a guessing game now. Good luck!

lol- it honestly doesnt matter, and i totally hate disappointing you!! i was 1 cm dilated at 36 weeks, and was like YEAH!! im having the baby early....no, i was 1 cm for about 3 weeks, then at almost 39 weeks, i was 2 cm, which i was for a week and a day...then i was almost 3 cm the day i had hannah (i had an apot that a day, a day after my due date), so.......u just never know.....i walked, a LOT, and everytime i went for a walk, i got a single contration/cramping of my uterus that would last the whole walk- this i think helped to get me to 3 cm before i even STARTED labor.....
