36 week progress! holy cannoli!
So I went for my 36 week appointment today - which I guess means I'm technically STARTING my 37th week??(this stuff is confusing!)
I was shocked to hear that I am 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, and the baby is at
-2 station!!!
I figured there'd be nothing happening since I haven't really felt much of anything...not even one braxton hicks!
My Dr. said "call me when the contractions are 5 min. apart" - and i said "well aren't i going go to see you next week?" and he smiled and repeated "call me when the contractions are 5 min. apart" - so i'm WONDERING if he thinks there's a possibility of going early????
needless to say, i'm packing my hospital bag tonite...better safe than sorry

At 36 weeks, I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. Dr told me I could go into labor that night or anytime after...
I gave birth 1 day before my due date.

I was 1cm dialated and 50% effaced at 36 weeks... here I am at 38....
BUT... with my 1st DD... I was finger tip dialated and 80% effaced and gave birth 2 days later... so you never know!
Get that bag packed just incase!

I think it could go either way. For me it didn't mean that much. I was 1cm and 50% effaced at 36 wks, almost 2 and 75% at 37 wks and by 39 wks was 3 cm and over 75% effaced and I never went into labor on my own  I was induced at 41 wks, 3days! Needless to say it was a very fast induction Meanwhile, one of my friends had zero progress at 36 and 37 wks and had her baby at 38 wks! With #1 I was 1cm and 50% at 36 wks as well and only went 4 days early...

you never know...it is different for everyone.
with DS i was 80% effaced and 1-2cm at 32 wks, but didnt deliver him until 38 wks 
i would get that bag ready just in case though - you never know!!!!

wow!!! it could mean that you are going to go early or you could stay like that for a while... helpful i know!
one of the girls in my office was walking around AT WORK at 4cm for a week at about 39 weeks and ended up going 2 days late
