36 weeks tomorrow menstrual like cramps?

what do they mean? A friend told me if the cervix thinning?

I think so, I've been having them for a few weeks now and I'm 80% effaced at 37 weeks

My doctor does not do internals until i am in labor. So I am going to have no idea about my progress until it happens!!

I don't know, and I've been trying to find out myself becuase I have them too!

They're at the bikiniline, right? I have 2 types of pains.. one is a very brief sharp pain like someone is stabbing my cervix. I get that once every other day or so....

THEN, there's the menstrual cramp feeling. It's only at the bikini line, and I get it usually around 4-7pm for a while.
occassionally, it's accompanied by cramping in other parts of my belly, but usually it's only down there.

I'm really hoping that it is something like cervical thinning! I'm not due to get my first internal until 39 weeks, so I have no idea how thinned out I am, if at all

I am right there with you. I've been getting them bad at night for the past week. I am 36 weeks as well.

i had them yesterday all day, and Im starting to get them again tonight. I have a doctors appointment Thurs.
