38 week apt & still no internal. Is that normal?

38 week apt & still no internal. Is that normal?
I had my appt with the dr this morning and I thought we would start internals, but he didn't. He said next week.
I also asked him how long they would let me go past my due date. He said they wouldn't let me get to my 41st week. Wow!

My Ob didnt do internal until 39 week and I had asked for it. So its normal if your didnt do it, there all different, my sil's already started internals and shes not due until nov.

I think all docs are different. I started internals at 37 weeks. And they will let me go to my 41st week. (I hope I dont have to!!)
