First time going to a B&B
We always thought it would be a bit awkward going to one. Well, we got a great deal and the owner is really nice (and a chef!). So, what is the deal with tipping? Do we leave something in the room? hand them a tip? or don't tip at all?

the one time we went to a B&B, the owner was incredibly rude to us - so we left nothing but a messy room!

Other than leaving a tip for the maid who cleans your room, I don't see why you'd tip anyone there. Who would you mean? The person who brings you breakfast? B&B's are usually so homey and informal, at the ones I've been to it would be weird to leave money for them on the table when you leave.
