DD started asking for a time out last week. At first, I thought maybe something happened at school, so I asked them if they put her in time-out, but they said no. They did mention that another little girl was put in a time-out.

So, DD has been asking for a time-out. If I say Mollie, what do you want for breakfast...she says "I want time-out" and runs to sit on the floor or the chair Chat Icon

Yesterday, she didn't have a nap, so at dinnertime she was very cranky and didn't want to eat anything. She threw whatever she could get her hands on. I took her out of the highchair and said she was going to bed without dinner and she said "no, I want time-out".

I didn't see a reason to put her in time-out yesterday for just being cranky...she didn't "do" anything wrong to warrant a time-out, but I'm afraid the time-out will lose it's effectiveness since she is ASKING for them Chat Icon

Any advice?
