3rd Birthday Party-Suggestions

DD will be 3 in April. We wanted to have a party for her with other kids that she is friends with/friends of ours with kids. It will most likely be around 8 kids.

Does anyone have suggestions?

We are in Western Suffolk. Not opposed to traveling a bit as people will be coming from all over.

Not looking to break the bank or anything.

( my house can't handle that many kids and their parents otherwise I would do it at home)

TIA!

3rd Birthday Party-Suggestions

We are doing dds at wood kingdom in March.

Eta: we are doing it on a Friday because I wanted to save some money, it's about $100 cheaper during the week. Before I booked it, I made sure that the people I wanted to invite we available at 5 on a Friday.

My DS is turning 3 in May, we are also in Suffolk but thinking of having his party at Kidville in Roslyn. Many of our family/friends live in Nassau & Queens. We are also considering Once Upon A Treetop or White Post Farms.

Hi, if you don't mind, could you share the cost of the party? What kind of activities did they have? TIA !!

I honestly don't remember the cost. I do remember it was the least expensive place I found, so I booked it fast. It was a lot less than the cradle of aviation parties. It was def. under $300 for 25 people (including adults) & includes museum, craft, pizza (a lot of it) & beverages (ice tea & water pitchers). We ordered extra pizza, but didn't need most of it.

Started with a craft (they colored fire headbands and had them stapled by staff so they could wear them), then lunch food (pizza & beverages), ended at the museum (there was another party with a different order).

It was a really great party: the kids LOVED it and I had a great time too. The museum is very interactive & has fire trucks kids can climb in (antiques).

I highly recommend it.

What about the roller skating place in Massapequa? I know you have to be 2 or older to skate.

We are doing this for my younger son's 3rd birthday in May - It's $325 for the first 25 people - $11 each extra kid and $4 each adult - they count the kids first, so if you have 30 kids, you'll pay an additional $55 for the 5 kids over 25, then $4 each adult - KWIM?

We did Bounce U when my older son was 3 .........the kids LOVED it. We also did it for his 4th - it's an awesome place, but it's crazy $$$$$

Went up in price then... I had party in August.
Still was super cute.

I find bounce U very chaotic (though, yes, kids love it).

Re: 3rd Birthday Party-Suggestions

i'm in chicago area, and my DS will have his birthday party at a firehouse. they will be touring the kids around the house and on the trucks.
the captain was kind enough to do this for free (they do school class tours) and then we'll head back to the house for food and cake.
thinking of just making a donation to the firehouse.

ETA: food and cake at my house as they don't really "do" birthday parties.

My party? It was last year... Whole lot of fun. Nothing negative to say: it was perfect!

DS remembers it whenever we go & visit.

This year, we are having fewer people in our backyard.

What kills me is that it'll cost more than the firefighter museum!
