3rd Tri ladies... is this normal?
I'm 35 weeks today, and I've noticed the past week and a half/2 weeks, that after every meal I eat, the baby gets the hiccups.
I know they get the hiccups occassionaly, but after every meal? Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, normal - Alex had a RIDICULOUS case of the hiccups in utero.

Re: 3rd Tri ladies... is this normal?
Thanks!!! I guess I was worried it might be a sign that she'll be a colicky/gassy baby! (well, not really worried... but the thought was there!)
The meanie that I am, I actually find it quite amusing watching my stomach move to the hiccups!

I haven't felt hiccups yet! I wish he would get them because I want to see what it feels like!

Um, well, I hate to break it to you, but Alex was one of the worst, collickly, gassy babies, but I attribute that to her Daddy's genes

Maybe that's why I also feel them in my butt! I'm pretty sure she has turned head down given the extra pressure and pain I have down there recently.

I feel hiccups all the time, especially when I drink something cold really fast. DH thinks it's so cool. :)
Have fun :)

Honestly-- I can't really tell when the baby has hiccups. But, I usually feel more movement after I eat. Hiccups I think are a sign of them practicing something-- it's not how we experience hiccups-- I read that somewhere.

It's hard to explain, but it's very rhythmic. Like when you get the hiccups, they seem to be evenly spread out timewise.

Re: 3rd Tri ladies... is this normal?
My baby gets them after i eat too. It is funny bc I know his/her position based on the hiccups. Right now, he/she is head down, so hopefully he/she stays put!

Re: 3rd Tri ladies... is this normal?
I always think that when Beeps has the hiccups its b/c he drank the amniotic fluid too fast...like when we get them b/c we drank too much!
But, they are normal, so fear not!
