3rd Tri ladies, or BTDT Moms who might remember

So I'm 35.5 weeks. I've basically been feeling like crap lately, but have been attributing that to the fact that I'm near the end, and I'm pretty sure the baby is head down given the new pains and pressure I feel "down there" the past week. I do have a sono on Monday, so I'll know for sure then.

But today I feel different.. I've been having cramps on and off. Almost period like cramps, I don't think they are contractions. Although I do have BH contractions throughout the day, but that's been for quite some time now.

Also when I brushed my teeth this morning, my gums started bleeding. That's the first time that's happened this pregnancy. I've read that bleeding gums is a sign of pre-term labor.

I'm not one to call my Dr. for every ache and pain, but I'm not sure if the cramping feeling is normal or not. I don't have another Dr appointment until next Friday.

Is the cramping just par for the course at the end? Or should I call the Dr.?

Ive had ALOT of cramping the past week.. Monday called out sick to work b/c thought maybe the beginning of labor. Also been feeling really naseasou lately. At work yesterday alot of my coworkers kept telling me to call my OB and make sure not leaking.. b/c with last pregnancy never knew when I broke water .. so they think I was leaking over time.. Never called my OB, still very tired, cramping comes and goes. I would call your OB if your just not feeling right, just to ease your mind.

This is EXACTLY what I've been feeling like! Sunday night I had a bout of nausea as well, and thought it odd for it to happen so late!

I know baby is okay, she's moving around non stop today.

Today is really the first day of cramping, so I may wait it out and call tomorrow morning if it continues.

If it were me, I would wait it out. Just pay attention - if the cramps get worse or stronger or consistent (like you can time them) then definitely call your doctor. But I had alot of that toward the end and I've been feeling that way lately too (only 32 weeks here though).

But the bleeding gums is normal during pregnancy. I've had it since the 2nd trimester and I actually had it much worse with my first pregnancy.

ITA. If the gums start bleeding on their own...like if you are not brushing and they spontaneously bleed, then I would call the Dr.

My gums bled throughout my entire pregnancy. Your gums are a lot more sensitive during pregnancy so that wouldn't concern me at all.

For the pains, monitor them to see if they are consistent or random. Consistent in duration and consistent in time between contractions. That was how my doctor told that I could determine if it was labor or BH.

When I had my first "real" contraction, it was like Holy Sh*t, that's what it feels like! Chat Icon

I was nauseous right before I went into labor. I was on the phone with my mom when it happened and she told me that I would be having the baby soon. She was right, he came the next day!

I'm at 35 weeks and feel pretty much the same. You are almost at term anyway but it will make you feel better, I would call your doc. Never hurts!

Thanks everyone!!!

The cramping isn't consistent at all, and she is VERY active as usual. If I'm still feeling this way in the morning, I'll definately give the Dr. a call.

I think it's time I pack my bag "just in case"!

I have been feeling similarly. Subtle menstral like cramps on and off-- no pattern to them though. I actually forgot to mention it to the doc on Tuesday-- but I know my cervix is closed and there is no progress, so I am just goign to wait til Tues to mention it again.

On top of that-- I just DO NOT have the energy that I used to have. I am like dead tired right now-- and I was only out for 3 hours doing errands.

And I just feel slightly under the weather-- and I have some bouts of nausea and dizziness as well.

Lastly, my boobs are starting to hurt again.
