3rd Trimester...super hungry?
I am at 29.5 weeks and I have been so super hungry when I wake up lately. I've already had a bowl of cereal and a hard boiled egg, a breakfast that would normally satisfy me, and I can't shake this feeling of hunger.
I am trying not to gain 80million pounds this pregnancy but I feel like I need to eat more!
Did anyone else get super hungry in the 3rd trimester? Were you sucessful with trying to keep your eating healthy? Am I just doomed to gain a ton more weight in the next 10 weeks before this baby is born?

Re: 3rd Trimester...super hungry?
I was (and still am ) hungry from the beginning of my 3rd tri. I did'nt fight it, I ate when i was hungry. I used to eat a double breakfast!
After a few days the hunger evens out. Now I have to plan my meals bc if I eat too much during the day, I'm not hungry for dinner, so 3pm is my cutoff and 6 or 7 is dinnertime.
ETA: I have also replaced my desert time with fruit instead of junk and I keep healthy snacks nearby like yogurt.

Re: 3rd Trimester...super hungry?
I have been sooo good about my eating habits (baby killed my sweet tooth which helped!) this whole pregnancy, but this past week or so (I'm at 37 weeks), I have been starving! I mean waking up in the middle of the night even though I had a good dinner - must eat right now starving. I've also been eating more at meals.
I have GERD, so I'd rather eat a little extra right now then deal with the reflux (which, again, wasn't an issue this whole pregnancy). I figure my body's telling me something!
I am trying to eat relatively healthy foods. I am shocked at the quantity of food I seem to need right now though!
Good luck!

Re: 3rd Trimester...super hungry?
At 35w I am finding I am often hungry through out the day. It doesn't take a lot to fill me, but I need to eat often.

YES! I feel like within an hour or so of eating I'm starving again. I'm 29w3d and it started about a week ago. I have also noticed though that I can't eat a lot at once so that may be why I feel the need to eat more meals throughout the day.

Re: 3rd Trimester...super hungry?
I have been super hungry this whole pregnancy, other then when I had M/S. My DH is amazed at how much I can eat. I usually always leave at least half my sandwich or whatever I'm eating. Now, I eat the whole thing. It is not good. I wish I would loose some of this appetite.
This happened the last time I was pregnant too. I was so good with my weight gain up until about 29 weeks with both pregnancys, then it went all down hill. I gained alot in the last 10 weeks with DS. Even though I swore I wouldn't do that again, I'm again gaining too much weight. I started watching what I have been eating for the past two days. Even if I'm hungry, I'm waiting at least two hours before my next meal or snack.

Re: 3rd Trimester...super hungry?
I am trying to keep it healthy so that I am not just eating a bunch of junk, even though I'm still craving cookies and chocolate!
This was my plan for the day. I plan every day in the morning because I am still tracking my food the way I was doing for 18 months on weight watchers before I joined weight watchers.
Breakfast: 1.5 cups multigrain cheerios 1 cup skim milk 1 hard boiled egg coffee w/ 2 TBSP FF Half & Half
MidMorning: Grapes and Strawberries, string cheese
Lunch: 2 hardshell tacos -- leftovers from Sun Night Dinner, lean ground beef, light sour cream, romaine, salsa, black olives
Mid-Afternoon: Plain Greek FF Yogurt 1 teaspoon honey Bear Naked Fit Vanilla Almond Granola Strawberries
Dinner: WW Recipe--BBQ Turkey Sloppy Joes Baked Potato Wedges Carrot and Celery Sticks
Dessert: Apple with Peanut Butter 8 ounces skim milk
So far I have made it from breakfast to lunch with only having to add in an apple with breakfast. Between breakfast and lunch seems to be my very HUNGRY time...
I guess I have to experiment with adding in more fruit/veggies between meals and see if that helps!
