4, 5, 6 teachers

This is my first year with this age group. What would you want your students to do in the library? projects that emphasize information literacy skills?

IN my school, 4th and 5th graders go to research in place of library time. there they work with the computer teacher and the librarian on research based projects. they learn how to decide whether or nto a site is legitimate or not, how to find good sites, basic bibliograhy and they complete a research project, usually something that is a tangent off what is being covered in the classroom, but sometimes the computer teacher and librarian do their own ideas with them.

using the internet and programs like Photostory, Powerpoint, blogs, etc. are used during research time.
