at 6w PP, my OB said I could go back to all regular activity, just take it slow.
you probably wont have to wait until 8 weeks!

I feel your pain. You can take walks. No speed walking, but any movement counts! I am doing WW to get rid of the baby weight plus that I need to lose.

Stop stepping on the scale!!!
You are 4 weeks PP! I gained 50 lbs did nothing to lose it and it did come off! Took awhile but again I didnt even try!
Dont torture yourself. Let your body recover. You carried a life for 9 months and had surgery 4 weeks ago. Dont over do it! Even with too fast walking you can be over doing it considering you had surgery!
Just relax and it will happen when your body has recovered!

Thanks for your advice everyone.
With Jenny Craig, is it expensive to have the meals mailed to you? Also, do you get full after the meals? What will happen after I go off the diet? Will it be hard to reintroduce "regular" food and hope not to gain weight?
I can't do Weight Watchers..I do not have time or patience to measure food and keep logs....thanks for that option though ladies!

I go into the Jenny Craig so I dont know about shipping. I like all of the hot breakfasts (more expensive) so it is no more than $20 a day, but could be less. I am still on it but I am less strict now and tend to eat other things more now. I lost 38 since middle of January

This might be a really dumb question, and I have no idea what the answer is since I've clearly never had a C...but can you swim for exercise? at least its "gentle" cardio?

ITA with this. You are probably still retaining water too. Your hormones are all over the place. Allow some time to adjust to your new life, eat healthy, drink water and maybe take the baby for short walks in the stroller. It took your body nine months to get there, you can't expect it to bounce back in a month.

At four weeks PP most women are still bleeding. Dr.s do not suggest using tampons early on, so I would think swimming is out of the question for most.

Re: 4 weeks postpartum/c-section tomorrow and wanna lose weight NOW! Help!!!!
I did Jenny Craig briefly a few years ago. I liked the food, (I had to go pick it up though and get weighed weekly though) and it worked, At the time though I thought it was pricier for me than WW (don't really have to do all that measuring anymore). What ultimately worked for me was a modified WW with a lot! of exercise and I lost the weight. (And will be doing it all over again soon!) Take it easy until you heal try walking and check out sparkpeople.com for breakdown of different diets.
