Where were the caregivers/parents? Why were they allowing a small child to handle such a small puppy?
I gather the BOY and the PUPPY need more adult supervision..

That was my first reaction.. but I had to remind myself that you never really KNOW what was going on at that moment. I mean - the mother might have had her attention completely diverted by something at the moment.. and honestly with kids it REALLY does only take just that second!

Why would a boy have a week old puppy anyways unless it was his own dog that gave birth? The breeders usually don't let you have the puppies until they are 6 weeks old at least.
