40 week appt today
I'm still a fingertip dilated (have been for the past few weeks) and my doctor doesn't think I'll go on my own within the next week (but of course, anything's possible!). I have to go back on Thursday (because my doctor won't be in the office after Friday) when they will hook me up to the monitor to see how our little girl is doing. Then, on Monday or Tuesday next week I have to go to the hospital for a biophysical profile. THEN, if everything is still status quo and I haven't gone on my own yet, I will go in on Thursday night (7/5) to be induced.
I have no idea how I feel about all of this. I'd rather not be induced, but of course, I'll do whatever's best for me and the baby.

I feel the same way.. I don't want to be induced either if I end up going late... My mom went 2 weeks late with all 3 of us.. I hope thats not my case..
I have a question, what is a biophysical profile?

sounds good, i will also be induced on July 4th if the baby doesn't come sooner these June babies are way to comfy!!

"A biophysical profile (BPP) test measures the health of your baby (fetus) during pregnancy. A BPP test may include a nonstress test with electronic fetal heart monitoring and a fetal ultrasound. The BPP measures your baby's heart rate, muscle tone, movement, breathing, and the amount of amniotic fluid around your baby."
