40+ Weeks and Working
So, I've still been going to work, my due date was yesterday. I plan on going in tomorrow too, to finish the week. IF baby doesn't come before induction Wednesday night and I'm still feeling OK, should I work Mon & Tues next week?
I work an office job where they've pampered me pretty much the entire pregnancy, so it's not like it's stressful. I'm going to be out 12 weeks with FMLA, but really wanted to save ALL my time to be home with the baby, and would then waste 2 or 3 days IF she doesn't come before Wednesday night.
Commute isn't horrible, but it is annoying. It's about 35-40 minutes in some traffic, but driving is getting pretty darn uncomfortable (takes me an eternity to merge left, I have a larger vehicle and it's next to impossible to see around my left blind spot!)
Thoughts?

OOh I don't know - that's totally up to you. I think you are amazing for working this long.
See how you feel next week. You may want to get out of the house out of pure frustration and boredom - so maybe you can work half days or something? OR - you may just want to stay home and relax your last couple of days before the baby comes. I would plan as if tomorrow is really your last day and tell them that you will see how you feel and maybe you'll be back a day or two next week?

Tough call.
See how you feel on Monday. I totally understand the FMLA. That's what I was doing to.
If you feel up to it then go on Monday or until you are ready to delver.

Take the 2 days and sleep all you can, you won't sleep for a long time after baby comes!

It's totally up to you and how you are feeling. I worked up until I have DD. My last day was on a Friday and I went to the hospital to be induced on that Sunday. It couldn't have worked out any better for me.

Re: 40+ Weeks and Working
Thanks for all the advice ladies. I'm very lucky to have a job that's been very easy for me to keep working this long, plus my boss is fantastic and understanding...not all have it as good as I do at work, I know that!!
Now we have a dr's appt scheduled for Monday at like 10 by our house, so that would be a pain to go in afterwards (plus, I don't know how half days work with the FMLA time ), so I may just call today my last day, and take the rest to relax & get stuff done. I think that's the way I'm leaning today
ETA: I guess if today's my last day, I'm technically only using 2-3 days of my FMLA time before baby comes (if she doesn't come early!), so it's not tooooo bad, I can handle that I guess and it won't make too much of a big difference in the end in terms of going back.

I agree - take those 2 days for "me" time since you will not have anymore of that for along time.
