40th anniversary ideas
My parents 40th is coming up. My sister is due to give birth the same month, so we are probably looking for something low-key. Any ideas of nice places we could go in western suffolk or east nassau.

are you looking for a nice restaurant for the immediate family or something bigger for a group?

Re: 40th anniversary ideas
When my aunt and uncle had their 40th we took them to Pace Steakhouse in Hauppague. (Sorry for the slaughter of the spelling). I have 3 more years for my parents but I'm thinking of Koenig's in Floral Park , Cheesecake Factory, or Shish Kabob

Re: 40th anniversary ideas
We just went to a local Italian place. However, what we did do was write to our family and friends and put together a scrap book. I ordered a beautiful red (Ruby is 40th) scrap book (had it engraved) and people provided me with pages of the book. They LOVED it and people were pretty creative! It was better then any present we could have bought them!!!!

Re: 40th anniversary ideas
my parent's 40th was just this past December. We took them out to dinner at the Old Dock Inn in Kings Park. It was great.

Re: 40th anniversary ideas
What time of year? If it's nice weather you could do a place with water views like Prime in Huntington Mill Pond Inn in Northport Captain Bills in Bayshore
If it's not such a nice time of year then I would go with a really elegant restaurant like Tellers in Islip

Re: 40th anniversary ideas
I sent you an email with places in Nassau, if we do something beyond March, don't think I can swing Suffolk - as many are suggesting. Cutting a little close to baby-day.
There's plenty of options in the Garden City area or if you want more expensive we can see Northern Blvd.
Trust me - if Marie and Mike weren't getting married right here in F-Square I would probably not be able to attend that either.
Gargiulo's in Brooklyn would have been really great - I'd love to get dad there - but I'm not sure how that would work out unless we do it soon.
