Lori's 2nd IVF Journey-UPDATE 10/19 OMG I just got a BFP!!!
Ok I am a little superstitious so I am going to do a journal in hopes that it will bring me the luck that the other girls have had on this board
So here goes:

I have had 3 losses and a BFN in IVF cycle #1
my issues are chromosome translocation, MTHFR, and elevated NK cells. and possible egg quality issues.
9/14/09
CD 21 went to see Dr. Braverman for blood work and sono, and I was shocked when he told me my new protocol, he wants me to start estrogen on Wed. and ganirelix injections on Thurs. Then when I get AF, which should be next week, I stop the ganirelix and go see him and then start stimming
I can't believe it's so soon -- no BC - so everything is going to fly by. I am super excited, anxious, nervous, scared.
I felt really good when I left his office today- I hope this good feeling lasts.
Last time I had 13 eggs retrieved only 6 mature and 5 fertilized 2 transferred (BFN) and 0 left to freeze. So I am really praying we get better results this time with this new protocol.
So I guess there will be updates soon!

I hate insurance companies!
I'm supposed to start all this tomorrow, and I still have not gotten authorization from my ins. company for my meds
I keep waiting for Kraupner to call but nothing -- this is going to drive me nuts!!
why can't getting your meds be easier-I mean you can't do anything without them-and they know you're on a timeline

Let the stimming begin
I really can't believe how fast this is going.
AF arrived yesterdy so went to the Dr. today and everything looks perfect - no lead follicles - so I am praying this all goes well
Start Follistim (450) Lovenox and dexamethason (sp?) tonight -- I am so anxious right now!

I have been stimming for 3 days now and went for a sono this morning the good news is my ovaries are doing great - they look perfect according to Dr. B. still no dominate follicles and he definitely thinks I'll produce more eggs this time around. 
The bad news is that my although my lining is thick it is not 3 layers yet and not a good environment for implantation. He thinks it could be because of the D&C I just had-because last cycle my lining was perfect. He said most of the time it's no big deal and can correct itself, but just to make sure he is putting me on a Viagra suppository.
I hope this doesn't ruin the chances of this cycle--it's always something -i can't help but feel a little bummed about it right now
I go back Monday hopefully everything will be fine by then

what a rollercoaster!
Follies are growing nicely! thank god!
About 10 on the left at 11mm and 7 on the right at 10mm.
I drop the follistim down to 375 and add menopur tonight.
My lining has improved since Friday,the Viagra seems to be doing it's job, but there is some fluid still there(risidual tissue from D&C maybe) and that is no good-dr. B is hoping that I will discharge it(TMI) and all will be ok. Worst case scenario right now is that I do the ER and freeze my embies - do something to improve my lining- and transfer at a later time.
I really hope that's not the case, and I pray that all goes well and I get to do a fresh transfer
I go back on Wed.
The not knowing is killing me ugh!!

just got back from dr. and my lining is PERFECT!!!!!!!
Had dr. B singing "VIVA VIAGRA"
I am so thrilled right now- it is such a weight lifted off my shoulder. thank you all for your prayers and support
Follies are doing great too!
Intralipid is scheduled for today so we are moving along nicely - Thank God!
Now let's hope it's only good news from here on out

Back from the Dr. not much to report except everything is still looking good. Follies measuring between 14-17 so just a couple more days! Looks like trigger will either be Sunday or Monday -- I go back tomorrow I will know more then. I can't believe it's almost here

On Saturday I was told to continue with the follistim for Sat and Sunday and that i would tigger Sunday night with HCG. I got a call around 6 from DR. B saying that my estrogen was rising nicely, and that I should stop all stims, but he wanted me to trigger with Lupron instead to avoid OHSS.
I triggered last night at 2:30 in the morning still half asleep. I have to go in for bloodwork today to make sure the Lupron trigger worked, so if all goes well ER WILL BE TOMORROW!!!!!!!
I can't even believe it's here already.

I am finally starting to feel a little better - the anesthesia made me a little sick today which is odd cause that never happens.
Everything went well we retrieved 16 eggs I have no idea how many were mature just praying for an amazing fert. report tomorrow

OMG I can't even believe it 14 eggs fertilized possibly 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a difference from last time when only 6 were even mature. I am beyond thrilled right now
pryaing that all goes well
looking at a 3 day transfer but I won't know til Friday morning, depending on how many we have left we might do a 5 day tranfer- please continue to keep us in your prayers

Transfer was yesterday and everything went well. We tranferred 4 8 cell grade 1 embies and had 5 left to freeze.

I wished you were all right and that it was just early but
BFN this morning on HPT. Went for my beta this morning now I'm just waiting for the bad news
I can't believe this didn't work.
Ok so Dr. B called with my beta -it was only 6.7 or some crazy # like that. He said maybe it was just a late implanter.
I havde to go back Wed for more blood work
Anyway i tested twice today once in the morning and once in the afternoon and nothing-- completely blank. So I decided to test again tonight at like 9 and BAM there was a line I can't believe it! This has to mean that my beta is going up right/
I know I am not out of the woods yet and I am still very nervous but I am so happy that there might be a chance!! Please pray for rising/doubling beta on Wed.
So I am hoping that this means my beta is going up

oh no lori.. why is the meds giving trouble to so many...i hate that!
have you tired calling them again?
what do you need to start tomorrow? is there anything i might have that i can give you?

the pills? i have those..
and i have the suppositories too..
the ganirelix i only have the vial that you have to do yourself.. let me know!
