Re: 46 day cycles
I have long cycles as well. I thought I was Oing because I was getting positive OPKs, but it turns out I wasn't releasing mature eggs. Honestly, I'd go to the doc and start the testing so you can see what is causing the long cycles. Good luck!!

Re: 46 day cycles
I had long cycles as well and my reg OB did bloodwork and a SA for my DH and was going to put me on clomid. My gut feeling was to go to an RE so I did and was so glad I did. Turns out my husband had issues she didn't pick up on and i also had more issues
So if you feel comfortable and your insurance covers it I would recommend going straight to an RE.

Re: 46 day cycles
My cycles were like this too and I had enough of all of the waiting around and went straight to the RE. I was O'ing like 26- 30....it was horrible!!!
This is my 2nd medicated cycle. Still waiting for my BFP lol!! BUT, it shortened my cycles by A LOT!!!! My last cycle was 28 days!!! YAYYY!!!
Did you come off of BC? If so, how long ago? They told me at first to give it time for my body to regulate....and my body did the opposite.. every cycle just got longer and longer each month

Re: 46 day cycles
No I never took BC I already have a DS who is 15 months and I nursed him till 10 months. My midwives told me that if my cycles still were not reg after stopping to go back but really since the age of 12 I have not had reg cycles. I heard that there's no infertility after you already conceived. IDK this is just so much
Is there a good good RE anyone can recommend

Re: 46 day cycles
there is infertility after you conceived and/or had a child...some people only have secondary infertility. with your cycles being irregular always there may be something to look into. i think the testing done by an RE is much more informed than that done by an OB.

Re: 46 day cycles
Before I had my DD I had crazy cycles - 45 days, 60 days, 50 days, etc. My OB put me on Prometrium when I reached Day 45 for 10 days, then when you stop AF comes. I did this for 2 cycles. The third cycle I decided to try and allow AF to come naturally and wasn't phased when I hit Day 50, then around Day 55 I had sore boobs and took a test and got a BFP! My DD turned 2 this past weekend! So, don't let long cycles get you down! If it persists, I'd call your OB.
