Do you ever get the feeling that something bad is going to happen?
I had some bad dreams last night, and woke up this morning to that strange feeling in my stomach that something bad is going to happen.  Its a scary feeling.
While I was driving this morning, I saw the exact car that my Dad drives (same make, model, color, year, etc.) all smashed up on the side of the road, and the driver was being put into an ambulance. My heart sank. As I got closer to the accident, I saw that the license plate wasn't my Dad's.
Now I have the news on, and they just said a woman was stabbed with a butcher knife while walking to work in Battery Park City. Of course, my heart sank AGAIN because my best friend is a teacher in a school on the street where the attack occured. They later went on to say that the victim was a 40 yr old black woman...not my friend.
I still can't shake this feeling that someone bad is going to happen 
I hate this

 I hope you're wrong.
I get that feeling too sometimes. Other times I get the feeling something good is going to happen. It's odd but often it's with people on this site.

DH will call me out of the blue because he says he gets a funny feeling, I have yet to experience this. I'm sure it must not be a good feeling. But try to shake it off and focus on your day.

Yes. It's a very difficult feeling to shake and unfortunately many times it's been right for me.
No one would ever believe me but I swear to you that I got that feeling on the morning of Sept. 11.

ETA: It happens to me all the time. I will also randomly call the people I think need to be called - just to check

I hope everything is okay.
I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I have had awful dreams in the past and there have been times when it affected me for a good part of the day. Fortunately, though, I was able to shake it off after a few hours.As they say, time heals. I hope the same happens for you. It is an awful feeling though, bad dreams can be very traumatic.

It is a truly uncomfortable feeling...It has happened to me many a time, thankfully it has never come to pass that I was on about my feeling but maybe it was a way for me to be more self aware about things around me...but I know how distressing that feeling is....some and I hope your mind is at ease soon...

Have you ever read The Secret Life of Bees? Remember the character of the sister who took all the bad things and hurt that she heard about in the world, wrote it on a piece of paper and put it in the wall outside? That's me..I take all the bad things I hear and absorb them and it just gets to me. It's like I take on an extra load from all the bad things in the world...so I know how you feel.
Try to stay positive and think of all the good things you have in your life.....

The entire week before 9/11 I was extremely depressed. I too, "felt" something.

Unfortunely - this happens to be quite often and most of the time it doesn't end on a good note

Where does your friend work in BPC? My HS was in Tribeca/BPC
ETA: To actually answer your post. I di sometimes and I get really scared, but I try to put it out of my mind and nothing happens
