Is there such a thing as too much fetal movement

The baby has been up and kicking since 10am. I've never had this much for thing long a period of time. I'm 34 weeks and lately the movement seemed to subside some during the day. I don't know what's gotten into him/her today! Should I be concerned?

I am almost 36 weeks and she does that to me sometimes too. Today she's quiet, but the last couple days since I am still on bedrest and it depends what I eat, she is non stop for hours with the rolling, poking and leaning.

If you want I would call the dr, just for a piece of mind.

if the movement seems panicy then call the doc otherwise it couldbe anything from more gas in your system, to what you ate that may be affecting your little one, or even just a finicky baby who doesn't like being cramped. But..remember if it seems like spastic movement call right away.

p.s- I use to feel a shivering feeling in my stomach at times and when my son was born i realized that his lip would quiver every once in a while and he wuld shake his leg rigth befre he fell asleep.

I'm 34 weeks and my girl is moving around so much, I feel like she's trying to come out my belly button! Doc saw her moving yesterday and said it was fine! I really think she wants to get in a head down position, but can't find her way

I had the same thing for a while - where I was worried it wasnt normal to have so much movement but it is, everything is fine. Don't worry

thanks guys, I feel better now. It's just weird at this late stage to have such a drastic change in the amount of movement, but I know it's getting crowded in there.

from 24-29 weeks he was soooo active, all day all night it didn't matter when! then he slowed for a week and now at 31 weeks i feel him alot again but it's different, it's like he's so crowded or something so the kicks are getting harder

I'm almost 36 weeks and she is 7lbs 1 oz and I'm STILL feeling crazy amounts of movement all the time. It's nuts! LOL
