Just learned that there is a pedophile living up the block from my Mom's House
 Gives me the creaps!
It was in our local paper and my mom and brother recogized him as living up the block and they actually had a converation with him once.
There are so many young kids on that block that he lives on and my mother's block.....so creapy and disgusting that this is living among us!

My feeling is that this guy you know about...
unfortunately there are pedophiles living among us anyway. Knowing that a pedophile lived on my block would sicken me, but would make me hypervigilant for my children & everyone else's.
eta. Don't misunderstand - I think they shouldn't be "living" at all. But I'd rather know about someone than not.

It's not against the law. You can look up sex offenders in your area at the Megan's Law website.

I have one around the corner from me. He is allowed to live there because there are no young girls in the house (he abused a 6 year old). It's sickening.

Now someone told me that you can not check it more than once a year or you get blocked out of it....you know because once again criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens....and the police don't want people to go after these disgusting animals!

I never heard that. You can check at anytime. Meghans Law website has old addresses so you can't go by that.

I check this site all the time and have never been blocked out. I have seen people on the news protesting in front of the homes of these perverts. As long as you don't touch them or harass them personally, there is nothing they can do. You can, also, look up their prison record on the New York State Department of Corrections website. All of this is public record. Everyone has to keep on top of these pigs. For them to be released into any neighborhood is disgusting. IMO they should be banished from society for all time.
