when did you decide to take a pregnancy test and thought you were late?

I have always had irregular periods.. anywhere from 35 days to 40 to 50++ So I know its difficult to know when to test, because honestly you ever really know when you are late

For me, I finally tested when I was heading into cycle day 50 and just feeling awful.. I was sure AF was coming actually, my symptoms were very similar to PMS BUT a bit worse.. worse pre-menstrual cramps, much more soreness/sensitivty in my bbs, I got REALLY sick with a headcold for a couple weeks... and honestly my husband told me my breasts looked ENORMOUS and he was the one who urged me to test!

So honestly since I'm not 100% certain when I ovulated, I'm not 100% sure if I tested late or "on time" based on when AF would have been due.

If you chart or do other things to track your ovulation, even with an irregular cycle you can always figure that you will get AF about 12-16 days after you ovulate..

that is really strange the exact same thing happened to me i took the test and it had a very faint second line but the box said i was not pregnant but i can tell you now that i am 13 weeks pregnant. i saw a posting as to why the line didnt show up very well it said that the pregnancy hormone is too low to detect when i took the test so it showed up as a faint line i also took other test including the doctors office tests and they all came up negative until i was a day before my 11th week according to my ultrasound.

I was TTC when I got pregnant, so I knew when I ovulated with OPK's.
