When you leave for work..
Casey always follows me to the door and looks at me with those sad puppy dog eyes  What do you think our dogs are thinking? Mommy, take me with you?

Tiny sits on the couch and looks out the window and watches me get into the car and then pull away from the house - I would love to just stay home with him

My dog does the same thing.
Ears are down, tail is down, eyes get bigger and wetter.
The worst is when I forget something and have to go back in.
He gets all excited like "You changed your mind mommy!! You're going to stay with me!!"
And then I have to leave again.
It's heartbreaking!!

Tinky is the worst. she has separation anxiety. she cries so loud i can hear her down 4 floors!!! i leave teh tv on animal planet now and dont make a big deal when i leave

I forget something all the time...it really is the worst...My Favorite day is wednesday, because he gets to come with me in the car, and I bring him to day care...it's the only day of the week we are all happy, LOL!

yes - i just left to come to the office for a few hours - and I swear - Molly put her head down and gave me these sad eyes - I almost turned around and went back in.

actually for work, Rocky knows everyone leaves in the morning so he just keeps sleeping or comes play for a minute, goes out to peee, and then goes back to bed.
The ONLY person he cares about when they leave to do something is my father. All the rest of us he walks us to the door and then walks back to whatever he was doing. He cries and waits for my dad by the window, hence why my dad takes him everywhere.

my cat walks me to the door and then runs to the front window to watch me leave....he is there,in the window when I get home at night! I hope he isnt there all day!!

I keep Joey in our laundry room when I leave (he still craps all over the house if I don't seclude him...but there is a gate up (I don't close the door) and he has a bed and toys and food and water and plenty of space. So, when I go to grab him every morning to put him in his "apartment", he puts his tail down and tries to run away. It kills me. I wish I could just spend everyday all day with him.

Katie doesn't seem to mind too much because ever since she was a pup we have a ritual- radio goes on and she gets a treat anytime I leave.

JJ also has separation anxiety but I think he's gotten much better. He's used to us leaving in the morning but he goes to the top of the stairs and watches me leave.
When DH and I leave at the same time (like on the weekend) he has a very hard time with it and usually comes downstairs and scratches on the window for us to come back  Sometimes he even tries to sneak past us and out the door.

Depends in what kind of mood Simba is in. When I tell him "mommy is leaving to go to work. She works, she makes money, she makes money she buys Simba things" then he jumps up and pushes me out the door as if he was saying "well leave and go make money to buy me things"
or if he is sleeping on the floor, I'll tell him ok I am leaving for work. He'll get up, look at me to make sure I am really leaving for work and go to the bedroom and lay in our bed to continue his sleep.

Rudy gets so sad. He sits on the stairs. Looks at me with the sad face. It breaks my heart.  If I forget something I don't go back in seriously 
I give him a treat everytime I leave the house
