Question on sleep...

Hi girls, Jacob will be 9 weeks this wednesday. For the past week and a half he has been doing 4-7 hr stretches of sleep at night. Usually I have been getting him to sleep by 10. 8:30-9:00 starts the bath, massage, and the bottle. My question is this. I notice that he starts to get sleepy around 6:30-7ish and I try to keep him up thinking that the later he goes to sleep the longer at night he will sleep. But when i think about it, 2 fridays ago he was asleep by 9 and slept till 4am. And the past few nights that he is asleep by 10 he is waking at 2ish. So should I be moving his bedtime up to the 7ish hour?? Do you think that may make a difference? Or does it really not matter since he is still so young.

When he does wake in the wee hrs he eats (but i notice not the whole 4 oz, sometimes only 1 or 2 oz) and falls right back to sleep, then usually wakes around 5ish... Any suggestions??? TIA Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Question on sleep...

Definitely try putting him to bed earlier. When I started doing that, Jake started sleeping through the night. And I don't mean 5 hrs, I mean 10 - 12 hrs. He goes to bed at 7pm.
