Teachers, anyone get anything for teacher appreciation week?
I came into work this morning, and there were little terracotta pots with soil and seed packets in them for us, and then a schedule for the week of which meals the parents' association would be supplying for us We had a hot breakfast this morning, tomorrow we are getting lunch, Wed. and Thurs. they are having a snack bar for us in the afternoon and Friday we're having a hot breakfast AND lunch! I was shocked!

I didn't even know there was a teacher appreciation week, so I guess that answers your question!

Yeah, we got a copy of the latest slanderous flyer from an anonymous community member filled with flagrant inaccuracies about the budget and urging residents to vote it down. In the dead of night they distribute it to every house in the district.
We've had two years of failed budgets, my contract is up and it looks like next year I'll be working w/o a contract and on austerity

Our PTA president made these adorable signs for our doors with our names on them. She had the custodian put them all up this morning before we came in. So, we don't have our boring brown signs anymore! We also got a lot of treats in the faculty room all day, muffins, cookies, chocolate, etc.

We got coursages today, and they are having a breakfast tomorrow(which I miss because I have a conference) Other than that, Im not sure.

Our Home and School Assoc brought us out to a great lunch last week (we had a half day). They always do something nice for teacher's appreciation week.
