My poor puppy UPDATE
Last night we were playing with Norton outside and DH was throwing his hard nylabone into the yard so he could fetch it....
Well, Norton turned around to see where the bone was going and it hit him right in the eye 
I never heard him yelp like that before...
After looking at his eye, and me starting to cry, we took him to the emergency 24 hour vet.
His lids are cut as well as a bunch of scratches on his eye...
His eye is green and sooooo dilated from the drops they gave us, he looks like the little kid from the movie Ray....
Fortunately, he is in very good spirits and was such a gentelman at the vet.....DH thinks he can't see out of it, I just remember that he is a goofball to begin with and always runs in the wrong direction!.....
Sorry for the vent, it's just so heartbreaking and I feel so bad.....
UPDATE
Norton seems to be doing better. He played all day long at our BBQ and was his usual self all day. He seems o be seing out of the eye, although his periferal vision may be a little off. Hopefully it's just temporary.
Thanks everyone for the hugs, I gave Norton tons of them yesterday....
