Do you still get giddy when you hear the ice cream man?

I just heard the ice cream man drive by... and I still get that same feeling of happiness that I got when I was a kid and heard his little song.

So, I was curious, does anyone else get just as excited about the ice cream man as they did when they were younger?

definitely, before when I lived in a house I would make my dh go and get me some.

I don't, but everyday in school at 1:15, the ice cream man comes and all my kids get that look on their face. I always say...."What?? You've never heard the ice cream man before???"

I'm such a bitchy teacher...

yes!!! i used to live on a block that NEVER had the ice cream man come by...it was a private road so NOBODY came by. then when i moved to my stepfather's house, i thought "yes!!!" but hence, i'd hear him, but never saw him. he was aloof. i'm 27 and still run out the door when i hear him. my mil and fil thought i was crazy when i heard him for the first time at their house. but i was sooooooo excited!!!

They pass my house about 4-5 times a day, so it becomes more of an annoyance after a while.

Although I still love the Ice Cream Man, I simply cannot DEAL with the annoying music that he plays!!!!! Absolute TORTURE!!!!!

Ice Cream man always reminds me of summer nights as a kid...but in my neighbor hood now...the ice cream man comes around at 10:30 at night...I think that this is a little too late.

Yup!! But sadly I lived on a dead end all my life and now that I moved out, DH and I live on a dead end too, so the ice cream man never really comes down because its too hard to turn around. I remember when I was younger, we would get so excited because our parents said we could get it and by the time we ran up the block he was gone. We used to make my dad hop in the car and track him down and make him come back!!

Dh alway's tells me if i hear the Ice cream man to go get him Mr softy because he loves Mr softy and i am like No! we have ice cream inthe house already.

YES. We don't have an ice cream man in our neighborhood, so when I was at my mother's the other day and I heard Mister Softee, I got incredibly excited. I couldn't get outside in time though
