9 week old won't go to sleep at night!

my beautiful DD will sleep everywhere/anywhere during the day and then gets so overtired at night but won't go in her bassinet - she fights sleep all the time at night

any suggestions? we need to put her in the crib soon - would that help at all?

You can try the crib why not my DD would only sleep in her swing and it wasnt even on.. I only at 5 months got her into the crib it took 3 nights... Good luck

My daughter never slept well in her bassinet. The mattress just wasn't good enough. She went into her crib at 3 weeks.

I suffered from this too. Maybe you might want to try the snuggle nest. It is a baby bed that goes between your pillows. We used this for a while.

Gianna does this too. I just started putting her in her crib last week and she sleeps now from 11 to 7-8am! I think she was hitting her head in the bassinet and waking herself up.

She was going in her crib before she was soo tired and she would put herself to sleep. SInce she got her shots, she falls asleep between us, then we put her in her crib.

I am trying to figure out her pre overtired time, but she still wants to nurse during that time she is tired

At 9 weeks - I was still putting to sleep by rocking (and nursing) I think I stopped the rocking at 9 months!

I know you want her to sleep on her own, but a little sanity and 'me time' for mom at night is just as important IMO...

At around 2.5 months my DD started not sleepng at night so we tried the crib and it worked like a charm. Good Luck!
