? For PCOS girls – no ov this month

So looks like I am on day 39 and no ov this month…Only on Metformin 13 weeks now. Got AF on time first round (31 days) in July and now it is 39 days and nothing. Called RE to see what he wants me to do. I am already on 2000mg. I assume Provera to bring AF on. PCOS girls – how long before you were regulated on Metformin?

I was regular pretty quickly (first month) however, I was on Clomid for four months before that (that was probably built up in my system and I ovulated late day 25 or 27 something like that. I was told by my RE that an O that late the egg is usually "stale" (for lack of a better term) and while fertalization may have taken place implantation probably won't or the pregnancy will fail very early on.

The next month I ovulated again and it was earlier. I think it was day 17 or 18.

That's the last time I just did metformin and IUI's. I moved onto IVF after that because I'm a teacher and the summer was coming (my only time I could do it).

Have you changed your diet as well? Cut back on sugar, carbs, etc? I say that because that can really help.

i take met but I can't help you since i don't take it reguarly. I just finished my first dose of Clomid and i'm ovulating right now. Maybe talk to your doctor about Clomid.

I only went on cycle with just Met, no Clomid, and I think I O'd on CD53 or something crazy like that.

The first time I was on Met I was going 42 days and 40 days and then slowly 36, 34, 32, 28 but then this stupid doctor took me off and now I go between 29 and 36 - but I have been trying to chart and have no idea when I O as my temps are all over the place and fertility friend most months can't figure out when I O-
