BC pill question
How important is it to take it the same time everyday...???
I have such a hard time remembering to take it everyday period...let alone the same time... Im lucky I even know what time it is half the time

I was so bad. Forget same time everyday just remembering everyday was a challenge.

My doctor told me that for the mini pill it was important, but when I was on Ortho tricyclen it wasn't.

I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Never remembered to take it everyday. Was on it for quite a few years. I stopped taking them in November. I want to be off the pill for a while as we are going to TTC later in the year.

It doesn't really have to be the exact same time every day. As long as it is around the same time, it should be fine. For example, take it right before you go to bed, or as soon as you wake up. Considering that you have an infant, it is probably easier to take it before bed since you are most likely jumping out of bed to go in to Ryan.
This was the only way I could remember to take my vitamins every day.

Its not as important if its not the mini pill. It is a good idea to remember within a few hours.

Right before bed has worked for me too -- I just keep the pills on my nightstand next to my clock so that I remember.

the regular pill? I hardly took it at the same time every day...I even had days when I doubled up because I totally forgot!!
when I go on the mini pill if I''m still pumping BM I know that has to be at the same time every day since it's a lower dose of hormones

I never took it at the same time everyday. As the others said I'm lucky I remember to take it at all.
I started taking them again this month. And I can tell you I'm on my second week & I already had to double up twice. And that's with a reminder note on my medicine cabinet.

I take it as I roll out of bed and that time varies, it depends on when Princess Hayley decides to wake me up...LOL
Before being pregnant, I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen (I am on it again) never took it at the same time and I never had a problem.

I have been on the pill (orthocept) since I was 17 (with the exception of going off for one month and being preggo) and I NEVER take it at the same time of day. I am lucky I remember it at all, and at LEAST once a month I have to double up because I forgot a day and the other day I took it twice, YIKES!
So, no, I don't think it's a huge deal to take it at the same time except for maybe helping you remember...

I take mine the same time every day and I have been having nothing but problems. I called the doc he switched me to the name brand, I was on this before we were TTCing and no problems and now I am basically getting AF every other week! I have had it, so I am done after this pack and I guess I'll be seeing some of you on the PG board
