When do you start counting kicks?

I am almost 22 weeks and some days I feel more movement than others. Isn't there a certain point when you're supposed to start counting # of kicks in a hour? Just hoping its not yet as this little one diesn't seem too active. Thanks.

I'm 22 weeks and it's the same for me. More active some days more than others. Not as much in the morning/afternoon as he is in the later afternoons and evenings. It's normal. I don't think you start counting kicks until 32 weeks?

I don't think it is until later in the pregnancy - but quite honestly, I am 38 1/2 weeks and my doctor never told me to do it.

I only counted kicks when I was worried that movement had slowed down. It was never a daily thing. It definitely toward the very end of my pregnancy. My Dr. only told me to count kicks at the very end when I told him I wanted to wait to be induced.

With my son they actually gave me kick cards to keep track?

I never counted kicks with any of my pregnancies. I think I would have driven myself nuts if I did. So long as you feel movement, then I believe you are okay.
