i just called my mil to see how she was feeling. and while we are talking her cellphone rings. its her daughter (my sil) well, she started to talk to her and never came back to the phone, i waited like 5 minutes also. finally i just hung up. that was 15 minutes ago and she still has not called back

I could only dream of that happening w/ my MIL . .. is it possible she just forgot you were on the other line? My mom has done that w/ call waiting when one of my sibs calls.

You should call her back & start the conversation over as if you never spoke to her. Then when she says "You called this afternoon." You could say "Oh, did you just remember I was holding on the other line?"

If you dont call YOU will just be annoyed.
If you do call you might still be annoyed BUT at least she knows what she did. You should call her back.

I would say she totally forgot.. I have by accident done this before...
IM sure many of us who have call waiting have had it happened too..
I would just call back and make light of it.
Im sure shes gonna feel bad about it.
I doubt it was done intentionally

Its rude, but, its happened to me with my mom..Tonight!
She calls to see how Im feeling, then, my aunt calls, crying on the other line..Mom comes back to me and says "I gotta go"..leaves me hanging..
I called her back 45 mins. later..of course, thinking the worse (my uncle is in the hospital).
The 1st time I called the VM picked up, 2nd time she says "Oh, I was downstairs doing laundry"..after I was just telling dh I think somethings wrong!
Back to my point..Call her back!

My MIL thanks my babysitter for raising her granddaughter.
Be thanksful for what you have. It was rude but it probably was not intentional. Unless of course you have ***** for a MIL like I do.
